The primary role of the Assistant Accountant is to ensure the accuracy of GL accounts and provide support to the Financial Controller/CFO as required.

This role is based in the Exeed Australia Dandenong office and will suit someone wishing to advance their career and skills in accounting. Ideally, you will have some knowledge of IT products and familiarity with modern ERP systems, preferably Netsuite.

General Responsibilities

  • Own the Accounts Payable function
  • Perform regular bank reconciliations
  • Preparation of weekly & monthly cash flow forecasts
  • Profitability analysis, which requires working closely with the Sales & Product teams.
  • Assist with the preparation of the month-end financials and management accounts
  • Prepare monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts
  • Maintenance of the Fixed Asset Register, including a GL reconciliation monthly.
  • Analysis of T&E expenditure against budgets
  • Monthly BAS/PAYG/FBT lodgements
  • Intercompany reconciliations
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual budgets and forecasts
  • Drive efficiencies by way of automation and ERP system development
  • Assist with other reporting, analysis, and duties as required


To be successful, you will have/be:

  • Relevant University degree with the desire to become CA/CPA qualified, or currently completing this qualification.
  • Ideally 1-2 years' experience in an Accounts Administrator or similar role.
  • Intermediate or better Excel skills and familiarity with ERP systems.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to own tasks and work autonomously.
  • Excellent time management with the ability to stay calm in a fast-paced environment
