Exeed is one of the largest ICT Distribution companies in Australasia and has been in operation in New Zealand since 2002, and launched in Australia in 2015.

Due to our continued growth, we have recently created a new Business unit within Exeed Australia to focus on Commercial and Enterprise solutions and are now looking for a Commercial Business Unit Manager to be responsible for its day-to-day management, growth, profitability, and success.

The Business Unit Manager will oversee and drive the overall commercial sales and business development strategy. You will be a hands-on, high performer, initially performing business development and account management activities yourself whilst effectively managing and growing the team.

Your leadership abilities must be coupled with direct knowledge of your functional area to ensure overall business unit success. You will be responsible for creating and executing effective sales plans, business development, performance monitoring, coaching, and developing the team whilst maintaining a harmonious working environment.


  • Manage HR for the Business Unit including employing, retaining, coaching, performance management.
  • Manage business unit activities focussing on meeting and exceeding the financial and strategic objectives and budgets set.
  • Analyse and explore market trends to help the company implement strategies/solutions that drive growth including recruiting new enterprise vendors
  • Build strong relationships with customers and vendors, as well as with other business units within Exeed
  • Look for ways to increase or add-value for Exeed and its customers and vendors
  • Ensure all company and vendor procedures and policies are always maintained and met.
  • Monitor and review project activities and ensure their completion within scheduled time and budget.
  • Actively provide feedback and suggestions on process improvements.
  • Create a harmonious working environment, train, and mentor staff, and motivate all team members to perform efficiently.

Qualifications and Experience

Exeed will look for and recruit the person who can best demonstrate they have the following attributes:

  • Minimum of 5-10 years of successful IT industry experience with a proven ability to quickly develop an understanding of a wide range of products and technologies.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience (5-10 years) within the Distribution, IT, and Reseller landscape in Australia specifically around networking, storage, security, and cloud.
  • An excellent reputation and an extensive network of contacts within the Australian Reseller landscape in Australia.
  • Leadership & sales management skills Team player with the ability to gain buy-in and commitment from your staff
  • Ability to provide the highest level of service and responsiveness to customer needs.
  • Ability to develop and create new ideas, identify new opportunities, create value and execute plans for the success of the company.
  • Ability to analyze information and evaluate results to make the best decision in solving problems and help in accomplishing tasks efficiently.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with open and honest communication.
  • Understanding of financial fundamentals such as gross margin, gross profit, return ratios, etc
  • A bachelor's degree in business administration or in any related field.
